IOH project: the Statement of Principles and Best Practices for Insolvency Office Holders in Europe

Just a few days ago TRI-Leiden presented the second report in a series of three related to the IOH project. This report II contains an analysis based on the framework and model developed in report I, of the rules for IOHs in a number of European countries e.g. France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain and the UK.

The comparative analysis shows the differences in approach and solution in the various sets of rules. On their turn, those differences indicate the room for Principles and Best Practices on which we conclude that there is room for 7 Principles and 22 Best Practices. These are currently designed, a process coordinated by the TRI-Leiden team, of which the results will finally be submitted in  report III which is due in October 2014.
The TRI-Leiden team wishes to thank all the contributors to this report.
