Leiden Law School developed a Statement of Principles for Insolvency Office Holders

In the beginning of 2013, INSOL Europe commissioned professor Jan Adriaanse and professor Iris Wuisman to develop a set of rules. These rules aim to help Insolvency Office Holders to communicate and cooperate in cross-border insolvency cases as required by the European Insolvency Regulation. The implicit goal for developing these rules is to increase the benefits for creditors.

These rules, created by Dr. Santen and his team, were presented and defended successfully at the INSOL Europe Conference in Istanbul, October 2014. The final draft is offered to INSOL Europe on Friday 31th October 2014. The project is now completed and INSOL Europe will have to adopt these rules. The semi-final draft can be found at here.
